Ultra-violent video game mimics Mexican drug violence
An ultra-violent video game that is set in the Mexican border town Ciuada Juraraz has officials up in arms. It's not surprising given that they are busy trying to fight the real crime the game mimics. 6,000 people have died in drug-related violence in Ciudad Juarez in 2009/10 making it one of the deadliest cities in the world.
Game creator Ubisoft Entertainment says the game is due for release this summer. The game's promotional slogan tells players to, "Take justice into your own hands and experience the lawlessness of the modern Wild West." Mexican politician Ricardo Boone Salmon, said the state legislature unanimously approved a request this week asking the federal Interior Department to ban the game.

Brazilian clown-congressman screws up first vote
It was just plain weird when a clown named Tiririca won a seat in the Brazilian congress. Thing is, you can't keep a good clown down. When it came time for Tiririca to make his first vote, he pressed the wrong button on the computerized voting system and voted with the opposition party, instead of his own.
Opposition leader Duarte Nogueira, was happy for the unexpected support, although the government still won the vote.
"I went and thanked him -- after all, it's the support of the deputy who won the most votes in Brazil," he was quoted as saying by the Agencia Estado news agency.
A clown is a clown is a clown. Never vote for a clown!

Video: Chinese TV uses clip from Top Gun as Chinese Air Force in news broadcast
Chinese TV. Fraud. So hard to imagine. Well, it looks Chinese Central Television grabbed a couple of clips from the Tom Cruise movie Top Gun and used it in a news broadcast about the Chinese air force. The clip is supposed to show a J-10 fighter firing a missile at another aircraft during a practice exercise, but it looks an awful lot like Tom Cruise's Top Gun action. No surprise, I suppose. The real question: What are the Scientologists doing about it!

Hackers warn wacky Westboro Baptist Church – stop the hate or get hacked
The hacker group "Anonymous" has warned the wacky and hateful Westboro Baptist Church to stop its inflammatory protests or "the damage incurred will be irreversible" .... "neither your institution nor your congregation will ever be able to fully recover". The church, led by Rev. Fred Phelps, is known for its anti-gay protests at funerals of military servicemen sporting signs that celebrate deaths of the soldiers with signs such as, "God Hates the USA" or "Thank God for 9/11."
The church operates the website godhatesfags.com.
Anonymous was recently in the news it hacked the computer system of a security firm and posted thousands of document that described plans to attack WikiLeaks, the Bank of America and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Watch more about these nutters (and I mean the church not the hackers):
