Aussie beer brewed for space tourists

They may well be ahead of the times. In face, quite a bit ahead.  Sydney's 4 Pines Brewing Company has created a beer optimized for microgravity consumption. It's intended for eventual consumption by space tourists. According to the company, the beer will be tested soon in Florida. This from 4 Pines:

"In space your whole entire face, including your tongue, swells," says Jaron. "It becomes a lot harder to taste things in space."
"With all the swelling all of your taste buds become almost a bit numb, in a way," he says.
"Astronauts have been known for years to throw handfuls of salt and bottles on Tabasco sauce on their meals..."
"On earth when you burp, due to the gravity that's acting on your stomach, the gas and the liquid separate," he says.
"However in space... the gas and the liquid can both come up during a burp."

Chinese row over synchronized swimming goldfish

Yet another bizarre thing going on in China that we in the West had no idea about:  synchronized swimming goldfish. It's believed the trick is performed by using magnets and animal rights groups in China are up in arms, asking TV stations not the air the trick. The magician who performs the trick, Fu Yandong, denies he harms the fish. Mr Fu releases six goldfish into a tank and gets them to swim together.

"If I used magnets, the fish would stick together," he told a CCTV news.
"Some people say I use electricity or high technology. They can say what they want, but the fish are safe," he added.

Whoopi Goldberg mad at NYT for leaving her name out of story

LOS ANGELES, CA - FEBRUARY 22: (EDITORS NOTE:...Image by Getty Images via @daylife
Whoopi Goldberg is angry with the New York Times and two of its critics for failing to mention her name in an article. The article by critics Manohla Dargis and A. O. Scott mentions the names of the past decade's seven black Oscar winners from Halle Berry to Sidney Poitier. Oops – no Whoopi. She had this to say about it on the View:
“I am embarrassed to tell you it hurt me terribly. I — when you win an Academy Award, that's part of what you've done, your legacy. I will always be Academy Award-winner Whoopi Goldberg … This is not hidden information. And to these two critics—who are the head critics of the New York Times—maybe… it's hard not to take it personally."

World's biggest boobs record-holder in coma after suicide attempt

Sheyla Hershey, 31, who once claimed the World's Biggest Breasts title, is in a coma after a suicide attempt. Last year, Hershey had  her Brazilian KKK-cup implants removed after the breast tissue around the implants became severely infected and damaged. Doctors felt the implants posed a risk to her life if not removed. She invited a TV crew into the operating room as surgeons removed the implants –– two per breast.

Hershey soon began raising funds to restore her gigantic breasts: "Once I reclaim my identity as the World's Biggest Boobs I can be a better role model for my daughter. I feel so ugly without my breasts. Without them, I don't know who I am." Her breast augmentation was reported by the Sun to be scheduled for today.  Just sad and depressing.

UPDATE: Hershey came out of the coma. She blames her boob obsession for the suicide attempt.
