Is "Bownessie" of England's Lake Windermere a hoax or a monster?
Tom Pickles and Sara Harrington were kayaking at the lake and snapped this photo with a mobile phone. Pickles described the object as "a giant dark brown snake with humps measuring three car lengths," and had seal-like skin texture with a "completely abnormal" shape. Harrington said she was "completely petrified" by the encounter.
Lake Windermere is a few hours drive from the infamous Loch Ness. Proximity is everything!
